Powderhorn Lake is a small, shallow bay with a bottom that is a mixture of shell, sand and grass. Most of the shoreline is marshy. It can be good for trout, redfish and flounder from the early spring to late fall. It is part of the new Alamo Beach, Indianola, Magnolia Beach Kayak Trail.
