The Meadows in the Upper Laguna Madre

The Meadows is a grassy flat east of the intracoastal that is good for trout and redfish year-round. It can be very good for trout in the spring. You can also find black drum in the late spring and summer.

A history of fishing reports for the Meadows. Maybe you can find a seasonal pattern or a bait or technique that has worked in the past.

Apr-02-08 • Trout are fair on plum and glow Bass Assassins, Trout Killers, Sand Eels and Corkies around the rocks and at the Meadows.
Sep-22-04 • Flounder are fair to good on shrimp and jigs tipped with shrimp at the Meadows.
Sep-24-03 • Flounder are fair to good on shrimp and jigs tipped with shrimp at the Meadows.
Oct-31-01 • Trout and redfish are good while drifting the Meadows on She Dogs and plum Bass Assassins, Sand Eels, Hogie's and Trout Killers.
