Treasures of the Gulf Museum

The Treasures of the Gulf Museum tells the story of the three Spanish ships that wrecked on Padre Island in 1554 about 30 miles north of here. Murals, artifacts and hands-on activities are used to describe this fascinating event.

The Port Isabel Historical Museum, The Treasures of the Gulf Museum and the historic Point Isabel Lighthouse are all part of the same complex. A special admission price allows access to all 3 sites and they are within walking distance of each other.
