Contestants are judged on appearance, aroma and taste of their specialty dishes and samples are available to the general public at a modest fee. In addition, attendees will enjoy live music, games and activities for kids of all ages, and vendors offering everything from funnel cakes to original artwork, gifts and collectibles. Hours are 10 a. m. to 6 p. m. Old Wal-Mart parking lot in Port Isabel.
