Between 9am and 11am, bring your canoes, kayaks, jon boats, paddles and safety gear to the staging area on the north side of the US 59/San Antonio River bridge, 2 miles west of Goliad. Volunteers will help you unload your gear. Drive to Goliad State Park where the great staff of the Goliad State Park will shuttle you back to your boat and gear. Then, enjoy a 6.5 mile paddle down the scenic San Antonio River back to the State Park. A delicious lunch will be ready for you on arrival. Then plan to explore the beautiful City of Goliad and its historic courthouse square, wonderful variety of antique and gift shops, fabulous restaurants, and old-growth oak trees.
