The Texas State Championship Fiddlers’ Frolics, founded in 1971, is the largest fiddlers’ contest in the world, attracting the best fiddlers in the U. S. and around the globe. The event also features entertainment including guitar and banjo “pickin”, live cajun, bluegrass and country music and jam sessions. Cooking teams come together to compete in the barbeque, sausage and bean cook-offs also held during the four-day event. While there, visit the Texas Fiddlers Hall of Fame.
