South Padre Island puts on a fireworks show every Friday night from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend at 9:15. The fireworks are shot from a barge that is anchored a few hundred yards off shore from Louie's Backyard. Its free, great family fun and the Texas Senate has even proclaimed South Padre Island as the Fireworks Capital of Texas.
