This museum very clearly describes the place of the Kenedy Ranch and family in South Texas history. Mifflin Kenedy came to Texas in 1846 as a steamboat captain during the Mexican War. Later he invited Richard King to join him. Kenedy entered the ranching business and King soon followed him. The fabled King Ranch is adjacent to Kenedy's La Parra Ranch.

Open Tue-Sat 10 am to 4 pm, Sun noon to 4 pm. Admission Adults $3, Seniors $2, Ages 13 to 18 $2, 12 and under free.
