Every summer the National Seashore takes on additional temporary employees and volunteers to search for sea turtle nests. The eggs from these nests are incubated in the park and the hatchlings released back into the Gulf. This joint USGS-NPS project helps restore vanishing sea turtle populations to the Gulf of Mexico
