The Jetty Boat is a passenger ferry that runs from Fisherman's Wharf in Port Aransas across the ship channel to St Josephs Island. St Josephs is a privately owned island that is only accessible by boat but all beaches in Texas are public property and so is the beach on St Joes.

The North Jetty and adjacent beach are favorites with local fishermen but the trip is also popular with beachcombers and anyone looking to get away from the crowd.

The boat makes about 10 trips a day across the channel, so you can stay for a few hours or all day. The cost is $12 round trip and $6 for kids 12 and under.
