The flats along the bay side of Decros Point can be good for trout, redfish and flounder. Look for trout from late spring to early fall and for redfish in the fall. This area can also be good for flounder year-round, but the best time is late summer to late fall. On the Gulf side, look for trout and redfish in the summer and fall. This area is good for wade fishing. Wade fishing can be very rewarding but can also can be dangerous for the inexperienced angler. Watch out for holes, drop-offs, soft bottoms, oyster shells and stingrays.
