Buff-bellied Hummingbirds are often found in the Texas Wild Olive (Anacahuita) in the right-of-way on the west side of US 77. Couch’s Kingbird, Green Jay, and Lesser Goldfinch are relatively common. Brown-crested Flycatcher, Scissor-tailed Flycatcher, and Hooded Oriole (nesting in the palms) are present in late spring through fall.
