| Description: High arched back, gray or black colored adults, young have 4 to 6 vertical bars, 10 to 14 pairs of chin barbels Size common to 30 lbs., often found inshore around oyster beds, spawns nearshore in winter and early spring, feeds on oysters, mussels, crabs, shrimp and fish, may live to 35 years. Take limits: 5 between 14 and 30 inches No more than one black drum over 52 inches may be retained per person per day and counts as part of the daily bag and possession limit. |
