Quick Shrimp Creole

 

 

Combine onion, green pepper, celery and margarine. Microwave at high speed until vegetables are tender (3 to 6 minutes). Add tomatoes, tomatoe paste, water and flour, and all other ingredients. Cover and cook until ingredients are bubbly (8 to 10 minutes). Stir in shrimp. Cover and microwave at high speed for 6 minutes. Serve with rice.

1 med. chopped onion
¾ cup green pepper
¼ cup chopped celery
3 tbsp. margarine
1 can (16 ounces) whole tomatoes
1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste
1 cup water
2 tbsp. flour
2 tbsp. dried parsley
1½ tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
½ tsp. chili powder
1/8 tsp. Pepper
1/8 tsp. dried thyme
1/8 tsp. red pepper
12 ounces raw shrimp, peeled and devined
